Photos   Stories we have Recommended: The Mystery of the Missing Dog Henry and Mudge in the Sparkle Days Diary of a Wimpy Kid Cricket in Times Square The Last Straw The Smallest  Cow in the World   Stories they have Recommended to us: Lions at Lunchtime The Mercy Watson Series Splat the Cat The Worst Best Friend Fox on Wheels Can you find it in the Rainforest I Can Lick 30 Tigers Today and other stories by Dr. Seuss Baby Bear's Hiding Plac To view photos: click here          In early 2011, our resident author, Dr. Lynn Hunter, conducted a successful  live, interactive collaboration through skype videoconferencing technology with Woodland Heights Elementary School in Laconia, New Hampshire and 1-214 from PS112.  This was the second VC in a series.  During the first VC she read Meet the Dooples to 2-214 and Ms. Myers class in NH.  She asked both groups to write and draw a special moment in the life of their favorite doople and for them to share during the next VC.  The students shared their favorite moment in the life of their favorite doople and then Lynn read the second book, The Dooples and the Shapes to both groups.  We sent the DVDs for each book to NH for Ms. Myers to show her group prior to the session.   The students wrote several stories for Dr Hunter.  We are planning to have another session where Dr. Lynn will discuss 'predictions for what comes next...and then share, the much awaited sequel to the continuing adventures of the Dooples To view photos: click here   To view photos from Session 2, click here !  Click here to view videos!!!
